Our research roadmap for 2026.

We are funding three internal research programs this year. First, increasing the angular resolution of our light-field stack — measured improvement in viewable arc and per-position parallax fidelity. Second, lowering the bandwidth requirements for a live capture-to-display chain by an order of magnitude. Third, building the authoring toolchain that lets a non-technical creative ship a hologram from a 2D pipeline.

And one we hope someone else takes on: a reference dataset for evaluating holographic display fidelity across consumer and industrial form factors. The literature here is fragmented, and the field would be healthier if there were a shared benchmark to argue against.
